FatherHOOD

Cherise creative directed FatherHOOD a personal project and photo series which includes some of the active black fathers in our community, who are changing the narrative & breaking barriers. In a world where the black male figure suffer from the stigma of being 'Absent' or a 'Deadbeat'. Even those who do not have children are still given the stigma that they potentially will not be around or will not step up to the parental plate when their time comes. Through generations, the black male figure has suffered and sometimes had to adapt to the stigmas. Cherise aims to change that narrative.
